The gradual demise of Natural England - the champion for Nature in England - started way back, when the Coalition Government came into power in May 2010. And on looking back, it appears I have unwittingly been chronicling that demise. So, here’s the story, as I see it.

English Nature was the United Kingdom government agency that promoted the conservation of wildlife, geology and wild places throughout England between 1990 and 2006. It was a non-departmental public body funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and gave statutory advice, grants and issued licences. That’s why we’re working to protect and restore seagrass meadows in southern England. 2020 — Det är Natural England som håller i trådarna för skapandet av denna England Coast Path som kommer att ta ett par år att färdigställa. Redan  24 apr. 2014 — För ett år sedan kom frivilliga från organisationen Natural England till Skåne för att samla humledrottningar. Och i fjol kunde projektet, i motsats  17 sep. 2013 — Det är mycket spännande, och första gången på 25 år, som man sett vallhumlan i England, säger Nikki Gammans vid Natural England till  Föreläsare: Bob Middleton, Natural England.
